A quick tip on link building, for readers and those commenting – adding to the list noted above, a press release can also be a great way to garner links. After releasing it, the content of the release itself can often include links back to your site. Afterward, a number of sites often pick up press releases. Some of these will remove the links, trying to horde their “link juice,” but others will leave them intact. The links may not be “prime” links, but they are links nonetheless and, because you’ve written the release and added the links, you’ll have control over the anchor text.

Why do you plan to monetize this site at a later date? Its better done earlier than later. Also you will have to spend a long time in selecting the proper CONVERTING products for this blog. I have often written content for my sites in bulk and scheduled them to be posted at regular intervals. It’s often the case that new and promising projects take more of your time and you ignore the ‘money making’ websites.

I know you are big on the Google traffic but how is your Bing traffic doing?

I’ve noticed that when I doing any kind kind of backlink building Google drops my site in a heartbeat (eventually it comes back). But for some reason Bing loves it and my traffic from them almost doubles.

I’ve been using adsense on multiple sites for a few years now, you really can’t beat it. (Chitika, bidvertiser etc.. can’t even compare)

Earning money from adsense is still a very decent way to obtain passive income. What I’ve been doing is I buy established domains with potential, rebuild it, optimize adsense placement and design, work on on-page seo and off-page seo, and my adsense income just keeps on climbing

That’s pretty much you are doing for now, but gaining a higher SERP will automatically help you earn more profits from your blog. Gaining backlinks is a debatable topic these days on internet,ya it works but only when you do some really mass work for generating curiosity, customizing your emails and chats and adding your link along with it is another method to gain backlinks. But again content is the king if you want the first time visitor keep coming back to your blog you really need to post some high quality content.

Hi, Can you suggest me, how to get maximum backlinks. Is there any cheap or free software available? I am an adsense publisher, but I don’t see any significant increase in my earnings since last two months? I have a very similar story to yours, im glad to see im not the only one who has a little trouble now and then. Be careful with adsense I had an angry customer click bomb one of my pages and got my account canned with nearly 2 grand in it. thanks for the blog.
