The problem is trying to figure out how to convince web masters in your chosen niche to pass on some of their precious Google juice with a back link to you sites. Many Internet Marketers get round this problem by creating a huge Internet presence by building hundreds for websites and blogs for themselves which they can use to pass the juice whenever they need it.

This concept is known as blog farming and the idea is that your build many, many sites that you get indexed in Google and feed with many junky backlinks in order to inject them with some of the magical Google juice so that whenever you need link to your main money properties you can simply harvest them from your farm.

Blog farming is something I’ve never touched because Google sees it as gaming the system and if they catch you they will do everything in their power to take down your farm and all your hard work will vanish instantly, not a pretty thought. This is not to say that building a blog farm isn’t worth the effort if you know what you are doing and can hide your tracks. I just don’t have the skills or patience to make something this intricate with the knowledge that it could all end in tears. If you want to play in the time though and are willing to take the risk its something you might want to look into.

I like to stick to more white ( or maybe that should be gray ) hat methods of pushing my sites up the SERPs such as link exchanging. This is one of the best ways in which you get better results in Google and you should start communicating with others who operate in similar niches to see if you can work out a way to build some link exchanges. Remember, 3 way link exchanges are better and make sure you use varied, relevant anchor text.

Another method of getting backlinks which can work wonders especially in the beginning when creating a new site is to post articles on an article directory or three. Directories such as Ezinearticles, Hubpages, Squidoo and Infobarrel are desperate for content to fill up their sites. Provide them with these interesting articles and they will give you a couple of links which you can use for your own purposes and because these sites have authority in the eyes of Google some of their precious juice will be passed along to you.

The difference between those that get the search engine results they need to make the money they want and those that fall by the wayside is in the quantity and quality of the backlinks they manage to build. Get creative and spend more time on building the links than any other part of your make money online business and eventually you will start to reap the rewards.

On top of that there are the people capable of putting in the work who get discouraged before they see the fruits of their labor. Its something I see at the Keyword Academy occasionally, some of the members are more than capable of doing the work and understand the concepts being taught but they start to get disheartened when the money doesn’t start to come in quick enough. Thankfully there is enough support in the Keyword Academy that when their is a hint of this happening the troops rally and give pep talks to get people back on track.

What does this mean you? If you are struggling to make money Online then its down to either:

1. Your not working hard enough
2. You don’t know what you are doing
3. You haven’t been doing it long enough to see the results and are starting to wonder if its all going to work out.

No matter which one of these problems is yours joining the Keyword Academy is the best thing you can do to reach your personal make money online goals.

If you think that none of the points above points apply to you and you are trying unsuccessfully to make money with adsense or through affiliate marketing then you need to wake up and smell the coffee.

Truth is that you have probably been sold far too many e-books by the Internet Marketing gurus or you have bought into programs such as Google Terminator and found that they don’t do what they say on the tin. You aren’t going to learn anything from the gurus $47 books because they don’t what they are doing either. They make money buy selling books about who to make money online.

After that rant I’ll give you an update for my Online earnings which I have been keeping to myself over the last few months due to being too busy to update this blog.

So here is a rough estimate of my affiliate and Adsense earnings for the last 3 months:

• August – $1100
• September – $1900
• October – $4000

When I started this blog way back in April my aim was to be making $50 a day by the 1st of July, something that I realize very quickly wasn’t realistic. Remember this was before I had even joined the Keyword Academy so I really didn’t have a clue what I was doing.

The thing is that by the time the 1st of July rolled round and I had just made $400 for June in Adsense I would never have believed it possible to be making over $4000 in October. So how did it happen? Well if you read the beginning of the post you will know it had something to do with:

1. Discovering what had to be done in terms of SEO to get search engine traffic and convert that into cash.
2. Working my ass off.
3. Doing 1 and 2 for long enough to see results.

Simples. But I have had another trick up my sleeve and that was that I got lucky. There are people at the Keyword academy that know the course material better than me and take just as much massive action as me, but the are still only making $100 in monthly earnings. I have no doubt that these members will eventually be making a fortune its just going to take them longer to see that big leap in income.

Apart from the luck factor there have been another couple of things that I can say have contributed to my recent success.

Well, like I have said I have worked damn hard the last few months, my social life is now almost non-existent and my laptop is my best friend but it feels like it has been worthwhile. I still feel like I have a load more to learn but I am getting there and every site I build feels easier than the last.

Another important factor has been moving away from Adsense to affiliate programs with high converting websites and high percentage payout. Obviously you can’t do this with all your sites but if you have some with traffic and there are suitable affiliate products out there I recommend playing around with this and seeing what you can achieve.

Right this post has been long enough and was only supposed to be a keyword rich earnings update, must get back to work.

Now I’m not from the US and up until this point in my life I have never visited that fine land but when I was growing up I had images of America being a land where anyone could take a fair shot at making a good living. All it took was hard work in the land of the free for anyone to be successful.

As I got older I began to realize that this ideal doesn’t quite hold and the story on Allan’s blog today illustrates this point perfectly. Its an unhappy tale of a corporation that produces an energy drink that tastes like rat piss fucking with a small family business illustrates this point perfectly.

So what was the Monster story all about?

Long story short, The Rock Art Brewing Company from Vermont produce a monstrous beer which they call Vermonster. Big nasty corporation which produce a rancid, chemical cocktail called Monster Energy drink take umbrage at the similarity in name and serve a cease and desist letter demanding that the Rock Art Brewing Company stop using the name.

Well, this has gotten a lot of people angry because we don’t like it when big, powerful corporations fuck with the little man who doesn’t have the cash to fight back, especially when their demands are retarded and nonsensical. I mean how the fuck is anyone going to confuse a strong, alcoholic beer called Vermonster with a soft drink called Monster Energy?

I have to say, having someone do the content for the niche sites really allows me to focus and concentrate on the things that need to be done. My problem since I started trying to earn money with Google is getting sidetracked all too easily because their is just so much you need to do in the Make Money Online game if you want to succeed.

Joining the Keyword Academy and following the structure they set out has really helped along with learning to use Excel spreadsheets to organize my work. But having someone else to share the burden of work has been excellent, I suppose I’m starting to understand why serious Internet Marketers get so excited about outsourcing their work to other people and its something that I can see myself going a tonne in the future to make things easier.

Anyway I thought I would take ten minutes tonight to have a look and see how this site was doing in the Google search engine results pages. I’ve also been having a look at my statcounter traffic stats to see where my visitors have been coming from and trying to figure out a way to boost my traffic up a notch.

Google Traffic To Adsense Make Money Online

At the moment we’re getting about 35 unique visitors a day to this site which isn’t too bad considering I haven’t been promoting it very vigorously at all. I put the reason it has been moving up the Google search engine results pages down to the fact that it is starting to age more than because I have letting loose on it with my special ninja SEO skills.

From looking at the keyword analysis on statcounter and can see that I’m starting to rank for a reasonable number of longtail keywords related to earning money online and how to earn money with Adsense. We’re sitting at 8th to 15th in the SERPS for the following keywords:

I suppose if I want to make progress I am going to have to make a plan of action. Like I said I’m busy with other money making projects at the moment so I’m have to limit myself to about an hour a week on this blog which means I won’t be able to post much due to time constraints. I’m going to use all the time I have available to start getting quality backlinks from all available sources with anchor text that matches the keywords I am targeting.

A Word On Anchor Text

You should know that the anchor text used in the backlinks that link to your site is extremely important in how well you rank in Google and what keywords you rank for. Google uses the anchor text to try and figure out what your site is about so make sure you manipulate this fact to your advantage by getting people who link to your site to use relevant anchor text.

What Will I Do To Get Backlinks

I haven’t done much to publicize this blog since I set it up so there are plenty of things I can do to get extra backlinks. I’ll write a few articles for the likes of ezinearticles.com and maybe do a couple of hub pages. More importantly I’m going to try and find some friends in the earn money online niche who are interested in a link exchange. This is a quick and easy way of getting backlinks that won’t take up too much of my precious time.

Adsense Make Money Online Needs Your Help

July was the first time that I seriously tried to earn money online with a method other than Adsense. I put amazon widgets and a related affiliate program on a site that was starting to see an average of about 150 page views a day. The result was $70 from Amazon and $60 from the other stuff, not great money but better than a kick in the chanks.

I’ve been reading Ben’s make money online blog quite a bit recently and quite frankly the boy is making me sick. The amount of work he manages to put in and the content he gets up in such a short space of time leaves me speechless. Interesting News In My Quest To Earn Money Online

I’ve joined up with a partner to help make this earning money online game a whole lot easier. My problem with this shooting match has always been the writing of the content and my new partner who has great writing skills can pump out content quicker than I can get it on the sites so I think we might be able to build a web empire in record time. We’re just getting started but already things seem to be going great, 4 sites up and 10 more domain names in easy to conquer niches have been purchased. If we can get a few sites up a week with all the promotion taken care of at the same time I can our online earnings growing rapidly in the right direction.

Monetize Blog – An Update

I wrote a post a while a go with the title Monetize Blog with the intention of trying to rank highly in Google for this term. On my last update I had reached 9th on the Google SERPS without much work. I’ve since gotten a couple more backlinks to the page but my ranking has dropped down to 22nd for the moment but I’m going to keep at it to see how things go in this little SEO experiment.

Anyway, back to work.

So I made the post and got a couple of links anchored as “monetize blog” from a couple of other sites to let Google know that the post existed and to re-enforce the topic it covered. I had planned on getting more quality backlinks to really give it a boost but I have been busy so that’s all it got.

At this point when I search for Monetize Blog from the UK I’m 7th in Google but only 33rd from the USA. Not a bad result I suppose and I’m going to put in a little more effort to see if I can get closer to the top, but why would I go to all this trouble to get ranked in Google for a keyword that isn’t much cash?

Considering the “Make Money With Adsense” and “Make Money Online” niches are such hard nuts to crack I don’t think I can hope to get anywhere near an interesting position in Google without doing things in a roundabout way. I figure that if I can start to rank for easy keywords first then Google will maybe sit up and take notice and maybe at some point in the future I might be able to start making tracks in the Make Money Online results pages.

Although I never started this make money blog with the intent of crushing the MMO SERPs it will make an interesting experiment for me at least, if not for anyone else.

I’ve done some searches in Scroogle.org just to see where I’m sitting at the moment for certain terms so that in the future we can check up to so how things have progressed.

As an aside, I have to say that I’m pleased with the increase in search engine traffic that I have seen over the past few weeks on Adsense | Make Money Online. A lot of it has to do with fact I have installed the KeywordLuv and dofollow plugins on the blog meaning anyone who leaves a comment on a post gets a valuable link back to their own site. Other traffic that finds its way here is searchers from Google who are using long tail keywords relating to a few general topics, namely:

1. Make money with Adsense / Google
2. dofollow links
3. The Keyword Academy

You probably noticed that in the first sentence of this post I linked the Keyword “Monetize Blog” back to my old post with the same name. Hopefully by doing so I’ve given Google more information to chew on which will result in that post ranking higher. If I can combine that with getting a few more quality backlinks we should see it climb up Google a few more spots.

Having a load of things to do over the last 3 weeks including thinking about doing the 100 posts in 30 days challenge so I didn’t get round to posting an Adsense Revenue update for June. Although if I remember rightly I hinted that my Adsense earnings were on track for nearly $400 in a post towards the end of the month. As it turned out I actually broke through the $400 mark to get to a nice healthy income of $407 for the month which was a vast improvement on all previous months.

Google Deindexed My Site

A bit of a nightmare situation occurred for me at the beginning of this month when my best earning site was deindexed from Google. It was my oldest site that I originally build nearly a year ago, long before I had ever heard of the keyword academy or before it even existed for that matter. The site was in the loans niche starting to do really well thanks to all the keyword academy techniques I had learnt over the last few months but I has stupidly disregarded the need to modifying the site itself and concentrated on on getting it up the SERPs.

Well with good search engine results in such a competitive niche comes scrutiny from you competitors, one of whom obviously saw my site, decided it was a bit spammy and reported it to Google. The site was built in a manner that deserved to get it deindexed, a fact that is now clear to me. The keyword density was far too high on the home page and the navigation was crap. I had actually planned on changing it over from a static site to a wordpress blog but had become complacent because it was starting to make me some good money, around $150 in Adsense earnings last month.

Anyway that was a big hit to take and quite frankly I felt like I had just taken a huge step backwards in my quest to make money online. Losing your best earning site is no fun but it has taught me two things. Firstly, you have to stay on your toes and ensure that your sites can stand up to an inspection from a Google engineer and secondly, we have to diversify in this game and never put all your eggs in the one basket. Build a whole load of sites and monetize them in different ways. I’ll continue to build “Make Money With Adsense” sites but I’m also going to look into learning how extract the maximum from sites built for affiliate products.

As things have turned out it looks like I’m going make nearly the same this month as I did in June so feel like I’ve recovered a bit from the shock of the site deindexing. Other sites that I’ve built are starting to get traffic and therefore produce Adsense clicks and a little revenue. I’ve also put Amazon affiliate widgets on a few sites and one of them has had quite a few sales so things are looking up. Hopefully by next month I’ll see increased Adsense earnings again after this months small hiccup.

I think its a road that many people who are trying to earn money online consider due to the fact that most of us are attempting to avoid doing a real job at all costs and sitting in front of the computer at home typing articles seems a hell of a lot more appealing that getting to the office for 8:30 every morning. To our advantage most of us have been working on our article writing skills so we might as well put them to good use and make some fast cash to tide us over.

The problem of course is that any time I spend writing articles to make money will mean less time spent on my own sites but I reckon I waste so much time every day reading forum posts and generally faffing about. Having something to throw myself at which would generate immediate income has its attractions and it might keep me focused for the time that I do spend on my own projects.

So I’ve been researching how to make money writing through various channels, mostly searching Google for “make money writing online” and reading the forums at the Keyword Academy. From what I can gather my best bet seems to be to join up with a marketplace for freelance writers such as textbroker.com. Textbroker look like a nice professional outfit that I’d be happy to give a shot if only they accepted applicants from outside the US. They say they have plans to do so in the near future but for the moment their program is out of bounds for me but if you are in the States I suggest you give them a try and let me know how you get on.

The only other freelance writing jobs marketplaces I can find that might suit the bill are oDesk and Elance. Both look half way reasonable but the going rate for anyone willing to write for money looks to be pretty low from what I have seen. I think many people looking to get work done at these places are searching for someone who lives in a developing country who’s willing to work for under $8 a hour. Needless to say that kind of money isn’t exciting me.

At least at textbrokers you get paid dependent on the quality of your writing. Its not that I consider myself to be some sort of Shakespeare but I value my time more than many are willing to pay so I’m really going to have to do some digging to try and find writing jobs that pay something I’m willing to accept.

If anyone knows of an article writing marketplace similar to textbrokers where I can ply my well honed make money online and keyword aware writing skills from outside the USA then give me a shout and point me in the right direction. I’m also open to hearing about any other money making ideas that any of you may have, just leave a comment.

So if you are looking to monetize blogs what are your options? I’ve only got experience with a couple of methods of making money with blogs so that’s what I’m going to talk about here and to be honest its all you need to get started. The thing is that you can choose to monetize your blog in a huge variety of ways but you’ll figure this stuff out for yourself as you go along and different needs crop up.

Deciding how to make money from your blog with regards to what monetization method to use pails into insignificance when compared to the important stuff such as choosing profitable keywords, search engine optimization through intelligent linkbuilding and ultimately getting the traffic which you can convert into cash. Get these things right then you can start having fun trying to work out which is the most profitable way to generate money.

Right off the bat most people who are trying to make money online from blogs or websites add Adsense to pages and hope that visitors will see something on one of the Adsense ads that catches their eye. If the visitor clicks on an ad Google will ship some money to your account. There are plenty of other similar advertising programs out there, if you are interested enough you can do your own research but Adsense is the daddy and the best place for to start.

Google Adsense has the advantages of being extremely easy to use and can be implemented successfully with a huge number of niches due to the number of advertisers who pay to have their ads displayed in the system.

Negatives of Adsense are that the Ads in some niches will pay you a very little per click so to make a lot of money you’ll have to get many visitors to your pages and get a good click through rate.

Affiliate Programs

Another way to monetize blog is to become an affiliate for one of the vast array of companies with products and services to sell who offer such possibilities. When you are doing affiliate marketing you are basically a partner of the retailer and work to promote their goods and services, you’re rewarded whenever you send a visitor to a site who goes on to make a purchase.

Obviously the affiliate system differs from Adsense due to the fact that your visitor actually has to buy something when they click on to someone else’s site. You get paid less often than with Adsense but have the potential to make more money as affiliate programs pay a percentage of the value of the sale. Work in a niche that concentrates on expensive products or services and you could make a living from a small amount of traffic in comparison to regular advertising programs.

Where To Find An Affiliate Program

Whenever I’m on the lookout for a company to partner up with for a particular niche I’ll simply go to Google and search for “My niche + affiliate” or “A particular product + affiliate” to see what comes up. You’ll usually find something that suits your site that you can push to your visitors. Of course, there is always the opportunity to become an amazon or Ebay affiliate. I’ve had some success with Amazon recently although many people moan about the small percentage you get from sales but for some niches it works well. I haven’t tried Ebay affiliates yet but plan to sign up for an account in the near future and give it a shot. I’ve heard good things about the Ebay Partner Network so I’ll report back when I get some experience.

Clickbank.com is another popular place to find products to sell to the “guests” on your niche blog or website. With high percentage payouts per sale you can make some great money using these products although some of them won’t sell well and many are of dubious quality. Still money is money in the battle to monetize blog.

If you were reading this post hoping to find the definitive guide to how to Make Money Online from blogging with various methods of monetization you may be disappointed I haven’t covered all the possibilities. But the reality is there are more important things you need to do to earn cash online than monetize blogs with the perfect advertising program or affiliate product. Work on the big stuff to get more traffic to your blog then you can worry about searching for the best way to make money from that traffic.

The truth is that this post was a bit of an experiment on my part to try and get a post to rank in the search engine results pages for the term “monetize blog”. I’ve tried to impart a little knowledge for anyone new to earning money online along the way so I hope you have found something useful. Why Do We Need To Get Backlinks?

If you’re trying to make money online then you need to either get traffic to whatever it is your trying to sell, or sell traffic to someone else that has a product or service they’re selling. If you’re attempting to make money with Adsense then you are basically just a middle man funneling traffic to other people with a product that needs buyers. So in the Internet marketing world traffic is money and those who have the most traffic are generally making the most money.

You might be struggling to see what relevance this has to the topic on hand but to get the most web site traffic we need to get our sites as high up on Google as possible because Google is the big boss when it comes to controlling Internet traffic. We need to convince the world’s best search engine that we are worthy of their respect in order that they will send us a nice steady stream of visitors for us to convert into cash in whatever way we choose. This is the game know as search engine optimization.

The battle to get to the top of Google is like a giant popularity contest where the most popular site gets to sit at the top of the Google castle and scoop up 40% of the traffic for a particular keyword. Backlinks are the key to the popularity contest in that they are the way that we collect votes in our favor from the rest of the Internet community. When someone with another blog or website links to your site they’re telling Google that they think you’re one of the coolest kids in school. Collect the most votes and Google is going to start taking notice of your site and send you to the top of the SERPs.

Another, equally important aspect of backlinks is their ability to signal to Google what your site is about. For example if I link to this site with the text Make Money Online than Google knows that this is a site about making money online and will take that into consideration when deciding where to put me in the search engines.

The words you use to link to your site is known as anchor text and its vitally important if you are to make the most of your backlinks that you take so much effort to find. A mistake that many beginners make when they are building backlinks to their domains is to use anchor text that bares no relation to the subject covered in the site.

If you leave comments in blogs for a backlink with your name as an anchor link what are you telling the search engines about your site that is of any value? Do you want Google to rank you highly for the word “George” or “Susan”? Probably not! At the same time using anchor text such as “click here” as a link to your site at the end of articles is a waste of your energy.

When getting friends to link back to this site I will get them to use anchor text such as “Make Money With Adsense”, “Make Money Online” and “Adsense Make Money” because thats one of the best ways to let the search engines know what subjects I’m covering. Hopefully it will also let them know that my site is respected for the content that covers that topic though if you’ve read much of my content you’ll realise that the respect is misplaced, but that’s another story.

So get into the habit of having all your back links to be keyword rich anchor text that is related to you blog. On that point make sure you mix the anchor text up or you might be penalized for Google bombing.

What Is Google Bombing?

Google bombing is a method of manipulating the search engine results by using a specific keyword relentlessly as your anchor text in order to get ranked highly for that word or phrase. Google has cottoned on to this practice and now punishes sites whose anchor text links look unnatural. The remedy for this is to vary your anchor text between a large number of related keywords for which you would like your site to rank. This is the reason that I don’t always use one specific keyword such as “make money with google” in the resource box of any articles I write.

Now you know the importance of being able to get links and making sure your anchor text backlinks are relevant to the subject of your content to further your SEO efforts.
